position purpose
The Web Content Editor role is specifically created to coordinate the collection, review and uploading of website content for a new foodwatershelter website. You will be part of a team of new volunteers dedicated to this project (a Website Developer and a Website Graphic Designer) and supported by a Web Project Team of existing volunteers (including the Marketing Coordinator).
We need a friendly and assertive team player with excellent administration and communication skills. The Web Content Editor will be a key player in the successful rollout of the new
fws website.
responsibilities

Source updated web content and images from relevant stakeholders in a timely manner

Edit content as necessary and confirm information is accurate

Manage the flow of information for each web page (keeping track of updates required, email communication, page status etc.)

Work closely with Website Developer and Website Designer, including briefing and answering queries where required

Review new website as developed to ensure accuracy of content and images are correct and appear as directed

Assist in content preparation for web ready, and upload to site via cms

Enquiries are answered and within agreed timeframes

Attendance (conference call in most cases) at regular project team meetings

Provide reports as agreed to the Website Project Team and generally keep team informed via regular emails/conference calls

Keep the project on track and progressing and reporting any delays asap

Excellent administrative and time management skills

Excellent communication skills for friendly and clear email and phone communication with fws volunteers located across Australia and internationally.
