Two sewing machines, donated by the very generous Jean Beck and Beryl Wilson and brought to Tanzania by Corky on his visit, have been welcomed by Kesho Leo Mama’s with open arms. For the time being they have a home at the volunteer village, and the mama’s come a couple of mornings a week to zoom through their sewing at a much faster pace than the old treadles can handle.
Sewing sales success at the fws Trivia Night Fundraiser in Arusha has seen a need to build up our stock of products once more. These machines will assist mamas to work quickly and to have the confidence to try new designs. Future plans to increase our focus on marketing products at the tourist market in Arusha has seen mamas exploring ideas that will appeal to those who are travelling.
Thank you so much Jean and Beryl for the new machines! Your contribution has made such a difference!
