position purpose
The role of the
fws Programs Manager is to coordinate the planning, execution and delivery of Kesho Leo children’s village programs according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes coordinating the efforts of
fws-Australia and
fws-Tanzania team members to deliver programs according to the
fws strategic business plan and
fws program proposals. The
fws Programs Manager will also assist in defining each of the program’s objectives.
responsibilities

Work with
fws-Australia and
fws-Tanzania to create
fws program proposal briefs, including seeking board approval
-
Work with
fws-Australia and
fws-Tanzania to establish and/or continue to execute the approved programs within the guidelines of the approved program brief, and revise as appropriate
-
Assure overall direction and integrity of the program remains consistent with
fws principles
-
Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure that work is neither overlooked nor duplicated

Work with
fws funding programs manager and
fws treasurer to deliver monthly reports to the
fws board and stakeholders and the program leaders in Tanzania, detailing the current and predicted funding status for each program

Be responsible for program administration, including close liaison with the
fws treasurer and the
fws funding programs manager

Ensure program documents are complete, current and filed appropriately

Ensure familiarity with the program budget and tracking of costs
-
Trouble-shoot potential sustainability issues for programs in a timely manner and where appropriate, escalate concerns to the
fws board
