Those living at Kesho Leo know all too well the difficulties that come with having just 3 hours of power per night.
Well, things just recently got a whole lot easier (and brighter!), with the installation of solar panels on the butterfly roof. We are now sporting 14 (24v 170w) panels charging 12 deep-cycle batteries, all supplying up to 3.5kW a day.
A visit by the Golder Trustees (who donated the funds for the solar power) allowed us to proudly show off this important power source.
Much thanks to Eve Archbold and Rob Watson in Australia and Clive Jones (our local solar guy) who organised everything, and our amazing Kesho Leo Infrastructure Manager Glen Muller, who has made solar power a priority since he rocked into our village!
