Our 2010 farm manager, Don, arrived just in the nick of time for a quick handover of the environmental and farm systems at Kesho Leo, before permaculture guru Eve returned to Australia. Don comes from the USA, has previously spent time in East Africa and has extensive experience and qualifications.

Don has hit the ground running, catching up with Elvis and John every morning, meeting all of the mamas, networking with many NGOs in Arusha town, and doing a wealth of internet research. His role will involve maintaining the environmental and farm systems already in place, as well as planning new and innovative systems for the future.

We welcome Don to fws and the Kesho Krew, and are filled with excitement about all we have to learn from him throughout the year. We've already discovered his witty sense of humour and adventure, and we look forward to more stories about 'talking with the animals' and some fun times ahead!
