John, one of our fws farm workers, was recently given a fantastic opportunity to attend some training with Global Service Corps, an NGO here in Arusha. He took part in a workshop and learnt how to build a hafir, a lined water reservoir that can be used as a low-cost alternative to a water tank.

John's small farm is in a very dry, flat part of the village...so as well as being able to teach the rest of the Kesho team and the house mamas about what he learnt, he hopes to save and buy the materials to build his own hafir at home!
