position title

fws National FUNdraising Events Manager

team

fws FUNdraising & Events team

position purpose

The fws National FUNdraising Events Manager is to be responsible for guiding their hand-selected events specialist state managers team to put fws events on Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne’s must-attend lists.

You and your team managers will design a mind-blowingly creative, lucrative and enticing event concept for each of those states. The events will be designed so that they can be repeated annually and garner growing support from satisfied attendees.

For the right person, this is an unlimited opportunity to create fws’s event identity. We enjoy a very open-minded attitude to our events, and we’re after someone who gets their thrills by pushing boundaries, using their fabulous contacts and drawing crowds…

responsibilities

  • Recruit, with the assistance of fws HR team, State Events FUNdraising Managers in Queensland, Victoria and NSW.
  • Guide and assist those State Events FUNdraising to recruit their own personalised events-teams who will assist them in holding a large, flashy, creative annual fws fundraiser event in that state.
  • Ensure that State Events FUNdraising Managers have all the advice/support they need to fulfil their mission to raise $50,000 each, per year.
  • Create, with the assistance of the State Events FUNdraising Managers events that have attendees knocking down the doors the following years, to attend again. The aim is for the event itself to become renowned for its 'fun' factor first, and then renowned for what it is 'funding'.
  • Assist the fws board in developing FUNdraising strategies in line with annual operation plans.
  • Provide accurate FUNdraising targets and forecasts, managing reporting and updates of FUNdraising targets as needed.
  • Help develop and maintain current fws event-donor relationships to ensure continued event funding.
  • Identify new FUNdraising opportunities to generate interest and support from individual and corporate donors – work with the fws Corporate Sponsorship Team and the fws Grants Team to make these ideas a reality.
  • Identify other FUNdraising opportunities for fws and work with fws Funding Manager to bring them into existence.
  • Work with the fws Design and fws Subediting Team to develop FUNdraising material and information for potential FUNdraising events inline with fws’s marketing ideals.
  • Work with the fws Media Manager to increase the public profile of fws via ensuring fws events receive excellent publicity.
  • Manage and facilitate fws Public Fundraising Officer to respond to FUNdraising event enquiries from the public and provide direction on the organisation and management of FUNdraising events for fws.
