position purpose
The
fws Funding Manager has the overall responsibility of managing the generation of
fws funding, within Australia. This role will work closely with the
fws fundraising team and the
fws Program Manager to ensure that
fws’s Kesho Leo programs in Tanzania are funded in a forward-planned, sustainable manner.
responsibilities

Liaise with
fws fundraising team members to ensure
fws generates a regular, reliable, ever-increasing income via our various fundraising income streams, such as:

Work with the above managers to drive these funding initiatives
-
Provide a monthly report to
fws board,
fws programs manager and all program leaders on the current and predicted status of
fws in-bound funds overall
-
Work with the
fws Program Manager and
fws board to balance in-bound funds with out-bound program-specific funds
-
Trouble-shoot potential funding sustainability issues around programs in a timely manner and where appropriate, escalate concerns to the
fws board
-
Lead a dedicated funding team, motivating them to generate funding for
fws in a planned, sustainable, regular and reliable manner

Set funding targets for each team member commensurate with the area of responsibility, and support the team to reach the targets

Work with
fws-Australia to identify and propose and implement new funding initiative
key performance indicators

Communicate funding objectives and targets to the wider
fws management group
-
Report monthly to the
fws board on individual funding area performance against plan
-
Develop funding opportunities for broad discussion
-
Motivate a dedicate funding team, giving clear direction based on an agreed PD
-
Receive weekly funding updates from relevant
fws sources
