Australian not-for-profit
foodwatershelter is very proud to announce our Kesho Leo Children's Village in Sinon, Tanzania has just won the
National Award for International Architecture from the
Australian Institute of Architects.
How many volunteers does it take to build an award-winning children's village in Tanzania? Well, lots. But we couldn't have done it without our very talented Melbourne architect, Rob Watson from Watson Architecture + Design.
Rob says,"Volunteering my services for the fantastic, young Australian charity has been an eye-opening and at times very emotional experience. However, we have managed to not only design and build something that is changing the lives of disadvantaged people in Tanzania, but at the same time is leading by example. To be recognised for it, as well by my peers, is icing on the cake."
