Short-term volunteers (commencing March 2010)

Key skills sought:

Teachers, tutors, IT experts, admin helpers

position purpose

fws often needs short-term volunteers, who can provide invaluable support to Kesho Leo staff in making sure all the programs run smoothly - as well as offering new skills, inspiration and ideas.

The specific skill-sets we are looking for change over time, but if you are a self-motivated, adaptable and enthusiastic individual (or couple) with a passion for contributing to communities in need...then there may just be the perfect short-term role for you at Kesho Leo!

Currently, if you’re a qualified teacher, tutor or IT whiz, admin expert, we want to hear from you! In particular, we’re putting the call out for any blokes (we know you’re out there!) who are keen to volunteer their time and skills, and be wonderful male role models for the Kesho kids. This is also a great opportunity for skilled couples to make an incredibly worthwhile contribution together.

Short-term positions are available for experienced teachers to help out in the Kesho Leo early learning centre, after-school tuition sessions, or in our adult education classes. Short-term volunteers work alongside our local Tanzanian teachers and the fws Education Manager.

We’re also in need of a short-term IT guru to assist the fws IT team to carry out any computer systems maintenance or IT support that is required onsite at Kesho Leo.
